Refunds, postponements, and work already started

These terms apply to paid sittings and commissioned reviews from Utilitycorner. They do not apply to software, physical goods, or course seats, because we do not sell those.

Eligibility

A refund is available when we have not started the reading, or when we cancel an engagement we cannot staff. A deposit is otherwise what holds a start date in our calendar.

Timeframe

Ask in writing to info@utilitycorner.click as soon as you know the date cannot hold. Requests made before the agreed start date are treated as postponement or cancellation. Requests after the start date are treated as termination of work already begun.

Full refund

You receive a full refund of sums paid if we cancel because we cannot provide a named reviewer, or if scoping shows the portal has no usable event trail and we should not have taken a deposit. In that second case we will say so promptly after scoping.

Partial refund

If you cancel more than ten working days before the start date, the deposit is returned minus RM 400 for calendar administration. If you cancel ten working days or fewer before the start date, the deposit is kept; we have already refused other work for that window. Work already started is billed for days actually spent, at a proportional share of the quoted fee, and any unused remainder of the balance is not collected. If you have prepaid the balance, the unused remainder is returned.

Non-refundable

The RM 850 paid scoping sitting is non-refundable once the sitting has occurred. If you do not attend and did not postpone with one working day’s notice, the sitting fee is kept. Travel booked at your request (train, car, flight, hotel) that cannot be cancelled is billed at cost and is not refunded.

Process

Write to info@utilitycorner.click with the engagement name and start date. We confirm in two working days what will be returned. Refunds are made to the same bank account that paid, within ten working days of our confirmation. We do not refund in cash.

Cancellation and rescheduling

You may postpone once, to a date within three months, without losing the deposit, if you give at least ten working days’ notice. A second postponement is treated as a cancellation of the original window (deposit rules above) and a new booking. We may postpone if a reviewer is ill; in that case you may take a new date or a full refund.

Deposits

A 40 percent deposit confirms the start date. It is not a separate product. It is applied to the fee. The balance is due on delivery of the written brief.

No-show

If a debrief or working session is missed without notice, we will offer one replacement sitting within fifteen working days. A second miss is treated as delivery of the written brief only; the fee does not reduce.

Work already started, materials, and exceptions

Once access is usable and we have begun naming events, the reading has started. There are no purchased materials to return. We do not hold retainers beyond the Quarterly Portal Brief. For that brief, cancel in writing before the quarter’s reading window opens and that quarter is not billed; after the window opens, the quarter’s fee is due.

If a delay is ours (reviewer unavailable, our error in the access plan), the calendar pauses at no extra fee, or you may cancel for a full refund of unused fees. If a delay is yours (access not granted, invite list not supplied), the start date may move once as above; further delay may require a new quote.

Governing law is Malaysia, as in our terms.
