Many B2B portals in Malaysia carry a second or third module that looked necessary at launch: a searchable document library, a ticket form meant to replace email, a catalogue with last quarter’s prices, a claims folder. Staff still send PDFs. Clients still phone. The module remains in the menu because removing it feels like admitting a mistake.

A Feature Adoption Review takes one module and asks a blunt question: who opens it, what they do next, and whether the work it was meant to hold still lives in email, WhatsApp, or an account manager’s spreadsheet. We sample the last two quarters, sit with the owner of that module, and write whether the quiet is a labelling problem, a trust problem, or a job the portal was never going to hold.

Bring a module with a named owner and event records that distinguish “opened the library” from “downloaded a file”. If the only signal is a menu click, we will tell you in scoping that the reading will be thin. This engagement is not a redesign sprint and not a vote on whether to keep the module — it is a reading you can take into that decision.
